New Year Quick Fix

New Year Quick Fix analyzes all applications and identifies products for which the most recent year is not selected. The PDM recommendation engine creates a notification, and you can choose to confirm or decline the recommendations.

Extending Year Coverage from the Quick Fixes Menu

Select a Brand and Choose Quick Fixes
Click New Year. Potential extensions of year coverage are displayed.
Example: For the Ford Freestyle, the latest model “2007 Ford Freestyle” is available but not yet selected.
Select the product checkbox and click on Confirm to extend the year coverage.
To ignore the recommendation, click Decline
The Show Products button allows you to view product details

You can also extend the year through the application segment

New Year Information in the Application Segment

Select the Application Segment and choose a product from the catalog
Example: If you have selected Ford Freestyle, the associated applications are displayed.
The New Year available info tag is displayed in the most recent year that already has application coverage (if 2007 is available, the recommendation appears in the 2006 application tile). You add the new year application manually by clicking Edit Application, or you can navigate to the New Year Quick Fix as explained above.
