Validations for Part Attributes

PDM provides you with alerts for Part Attributes that help keep your data validated against the AutoCare requirements!

To turn on/off these validations, you need to access the Scorecards segment:
  1. Click on a Brand and select Brand Settings.
  2. Click in the Scorecards segment.
  3. Select the Part Attributes segment.
  4. You can filter by Scorecards.
  5. There are three Alert types:

    Blue (Recommendation) = Possible Data improvement.
    Orange (Warning) = Information that should be added, fix recommended.
    Red (Error) = Severe issue, fix required.


  6. Alerts show you where your data needs improving and whether it is a recommendation, warning, or an error. It also gives you a description of each alert.
  7. You can turn on/off each alert or choose to Validate against all alerts.


Validation Alerts Examples

To check the validation alerts related to your data:
  1. Click in All Products.
  2. Select a Product and click in the Attributes segment.


Invalid PartAttribute

Alerts in the Attribute segment will be displayed in the upper bar menu and next to each attribute in a triangle icon form.  

This alert will show up when a custom attribute has been added by the user, stating that a custom attribute is not valid according to the Auto Care PAdb.



You can also see the alert next to the attribute value. Click on the Edit button to make changes.



Invalid Values

Alerts in the Attribute segment will be displayed in the upper bar menu and next to each attribute in a triangle icon form.  

This alert will show up when the attribute value you're using is not part of the list of values provided by the Auto Care PAdb

Invalid UOM (Unit Of Measure)


Alerts in the Attribute segment will be displayed in the upper bar menu and next to each attribute in a triangle icon form.

This alert will show up when the value of UOM is not standard to the unit of measurement for the attribute. 



You can also see the alert next to the attribute value. Click on the Edit button to make changes.



Invalid Format


Alerts in the Attribute segment will be displayed in the upper bar menu and next to each attribute in a triangle icon form.

This alert will show up when the attribute value is not in a valid format according to the Auto Care PAdb.
