PCdb houses the category structure with all Part Types available for ACES & PIES

Every part is assigned to one Part Type in PIES and can have different, multiple Part Types in ACES. Assigning the Part Type is the first important step when generating ACES &PIES product data.

A lot of information is related to the Part Type, such as the Attributes from the PAdb and the Position for the Application data. You should always start by assigning a Part Type.

PDM offers you an assistant to easily map large quantities of parts to the correct part type.

The PCdb is updated regularly and can have new part types or part types get deleted. PDM validates your data always against the latest PCdb as well as the VCdb to make sure your data is up to date.
