New Engine / New Transmission Quick Fix

This feature looks at the entire catalog to see if any vehicles have the same engine or transmission as vehicles already mapped to product applications.

  1. The New Engine quick fix tab with the number of products with potential additional application coverage based on engine configuration.
  2. The New Transmission quick fix tab with the number of products with potential additional application coverage based on transmission configuration.
  3. The product to which applications would be added. The suggestions are generated based on applications, so you may see the same products multiple times.
  4. The engine configuration for which additional application coverage is possible. Hover over this text box to view full engine parameters as shown.
  5. Check boxes for confirming suggested applications. The top check box displays the total number of new vehicles to be added based on that engine configuration. Checking this box will select ALL vehicle suggestions for that application, which is useful when the number of vehicles is very large.

Once you’ve selected some or all vehicles, you can scroll down to press confirm:

After confirmation, you are able to edit the application for each individual vehicle.

When applying this quick fix, PDM will offer suggestions for other applications that exactly match the engine configuration. You may receive additional engine results. Example:
  1. If you have selected Ford | Mustang | 1966 | V8 this results in a 289 engine with three engine configurations: VIN A, VIN C, VIN K
  2. PDM now suggests this engine for you to also be a match with a Ford | Mustang | 1967
  3. When you confirm this fitment, we will add the Ford | Mustang | 1967 | V8 configuration. However, with a 1967 Ford Mustang this will also end up being a 390 cui and 427 cui engine
This workflow prevents your data from overmapping.

After confirming a new fitment you always have the option to edit the new application:
