Harmonized Tariff Code

The Harmonized Coding System (HS) is an international goods classification system. Tariff Codes are used to classify products for statistics but also to determine tariff rates for these products to be traded between countries. 

Harmonized Tariff Codes in PDM 

  1. Select a Brand on the menu, and click on All Products, then select one or more products from the Catalog.
  2. Click on the Extended Info segment.
  3. Scroll down to the Shipping options, and there you will find the tariff codes fields.


Canadian Harmonizing Tariff Code - Import

The Canadian Tariff code shows the preferential tariffs for products coming from countries with which Canada has a free trade agreement. It is based on the World Customs Organization’s Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System.

Harmonized Tariff Code (Schedule B) - Export

Schedule B is a 6-digit international export code used for exporting goods out of the United States.

Harmonized Tariff Code (HTS) - Import

The HTS provides the applicable tariff rates and statistical categories for all merchandise imported into the United States.
